With a focus on Yang Sheng Fa: a tradition of the Chinese Sages’ quest for longevity and are recommendations for diet, lifestyle and exercise. Between degrees I worked in Silviculture, with adults as well as children for nature-based schools and Outward Bound; much of my therapeutic approach is aligned to these modalities. Having worked in the Silviculture industry for several years, invested in keeping my body healthy and agile. I have many pearls to share in this regard. My aim is to draw on my holistic tool belt in a way that gently guides you back into alignment.
Since my graduation I have interned with a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine before opening my Sole Proprietorship. I have worked with: Dysmenorrhea, Menorrhagia, Diabetic Retinopathy, Chronic Strain Injuries, Insomnia, Morning Sickness, Eclampsia, Autoimmune complications, Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Pneumonia and Frozen Shoulder.
At least 2,500 years before Psychology began in Western Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine was addressing and treating injuries of the body, mind and spirit. As someone who studied Psychology I can attest to the solid support Chinese Medicine offers. Integral in this ancient medicine are well-established models which mirror the gut-brain axis Western Medicine is just beginning to understand. There were also specific syndromes and treatments available, for all mental health concerns, these protocols treat the root of the ‘disease’ instead of just the symptoms. I believe and have found through clinical experience that embodied distress is the great block creating disease and holding us back from experiencing all that life has to offer. This is a special area of interest to me. I honor that all options have their strength and weakness. My practice is to support you in the present and to integrate the past for a nourishing future.
Earth Dragon has reverence for the cycles of nature and deep compassion. With the power of deep excavation and the hypnagoic state Acupuncture creates; we can get to the root of the issue and cultivate deep transformative shifts.
My approach in practice is to act as your midwife of transformation. I am here to offer support through Acupuncture, Counselling, breath work and lifestyle, diet and excercise recommendations
"In the lives of all humans, Heaven brings forth the Essence, and Earth brings forth the Form. By matching these two up, humanity exists. Harmony means life; absence of harmony means absence of life."
